Burkhart Marketing Manager in Tacoma, Washington


We are looking for a Marketing Manager to join our Sales and Marketing department, reporting to the VP of Sales and Marketing. In this role, you are responsible for guiding and implementing marketing strategy and will partner with leadership to drive implementation of innovative and effective marketing practices while maintaining high standards for existing campaigns. The focus of the position is the development of marketing programs, including print and online initiatives, and content strategy representing and supporting the products and brand in a consistent and effective manner along with business analysis and reporting. In addition, the Marketing Manager is responsible for overseeing all marketing communications (website, social, print, digital, presentations, tradeshows, and conference activities).

You are the ideal candidate if you have expert knowledge of traditional print, digital, social media and emerging market channels. You have the ability to meet changing priorities with flexibility and adaptability and want to lead a team through the change management process. What you’ll do:

  • BUILD BRAND AWARENESS AND RECOGNITION by identifying marketing (print, digital, and social) opportunities, developing strategic plans and content strategy, executing plans, and tracking ROI of initiatives.

  • CREATE CUSTOMER VALUE by preparing marketing strategies, overseeing print ads and publications, and ensuring brand consistency.

  • ENGAGE WITH FIELD SALES ASSOCIATES as a trusted advisor to build success and develop sales through marketing materials and collateral.

  • ENSURE PROGRAM EFFECTIVENESS by creating measurable goals and providing timely feedback to internal and external partners; ensure continuous improvement of programs.

  • BUILD POSITIVE WORKING RELATIONSHIPS with leadership, Associates, and clients by creating effective working relationships among direct reports (designers, writers, vendors, freelancers, etc.), work groups/client bases and industry professionals, working to ensure a collaborative environment with successful sharing of ideas, information, and resources.

  • COLLABORATE WITH LEADERSHIP to ensure alignment on key objectives, marketing strategies, and initiatives.

  • BUILD BURKHART’S LONG-TERM SUCCESS by effectively leading assigned direct reports, managing for optimal performance, consistently supporting career growth and development, and nurturing engagement with the Burkhart cultural values

    What you’ll bring…

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communication, Business, or closely related field.

  • 5 years of marketing management experience in organizations with a large sales force, a remote workforce and multiple worksite locations.

  • Multimedia marketing campaign and leadership experience is required, including print, digital, and social.

  • The associate must maintain a valid driver’s license and be able to travel by car and plane to meetings and events.

  • This position requires out of town travel up to 10% of each year.

    Preferred but not required:

  • Experience with dental or medical consumables and equipment service, supplies, and sales organization.

  • Experience leading, monitoring and evaluating online media campaigns to keep them fresh and effective.

    The starting salary range for this position is: $90,000 - $110,000
