Responsibilities

The Manager, Warehouse Safety & Quality Assurance reports directly to the Director, Warehouse Operations and will work closely with Corporate Compliance. This position will be responsible for overseeing all locations within the assigned region and supporting operations in four categories: Safety, Training, Continuous Improvement, and Government Regulations. This position requires regular travel to all sites to lead safety audits, engage with employees and drive continuous improvement across all safety practices. The person in this role must possess a working knowledge of warehouse operations, state and federal regulations, and company systems. The Manager, Warehouse Safety & Quality Assurance, may carry out responsibilities to support these areas: operations, safety, training, compliance, and purchasing.

Act as a liaison between regional site managers and Corporate Leadership to ensure transparent communication on safety initiatives, corporate policies and governmental issues.

Provide guidance to site teams on safety best practices, regulatory changes, and emerging safety topics to ensure ongoing compliance and improvement.

Champion a culture of safety across all levels, serving as the key enforcer of safety policies and practices within regional sites, ensuring adherence to corporate compliance.

Support and ensure adherence to Federal and local OSHA rules as well as other relevant regulations.

Implement corporate methods to inspect, test and evaluate processes within warehouses.

Ensure compliance with regular safety reports and audits, training deadlines and equipment safety standards at each site.

Perform detailed and recorded inspections and audits of warehouse processes to confirm they are up to industry and company standards.

Work with the training team to provide safety training for employees on policies, procedures and best practices.

Investigate safety incidents, perform root cause analysis and collaborate with local site leadership to implement corrective and preventative actions.
