Maxim Healthcare Staffing is seeking a Counselor/Mental Health Clinician to provide counseling to patient’s in medical facilities, hospitals, clinics, andother organizations that are in need of assistance.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Provides necessary counseling as required for the patient.

• Bilingual in Spanish

• Assesthe patient’s psycho-social needs, and evaluate the progress with supervisor.

• Collaborateswith all disciplines to plan and evaluate team goals for each patient.

• Focuses on assisting patient through discharge processof both in and out-patient treatment facilities as applicable.

• Utilizesa variety of therapy techniques and treatmentplans.

• Facilitatespatient progress and referrals with other agencies.

• Adheresto Company policies and procedureswhen providing services to patients.

• Observesand reports patient progress.

• Performsother duties as assigned/necessary

  Minimum Requirements:

• Licensing/Certificationaccording to state/facility requirement.

• The Counselor may posses an Associate’s Degree,Bachelor’s Degree or Masters in Psychology, Addictions, Sociology, Social Work,Counseling, Nursing, or some other Human Development major. They must have therequired licensing/certification for the specific position if applicable.

• Current health certificate/physical exam, as requiredby state regulations or client requirement specifications.

• CurrentPPD or Chest X-Ray (as applicable per state/client requirement)

• Minimum ofone year work experience, working with patients preferred.

• Ability to effectively elicit/provide information toand from appropriate individuals (including, but not limited to, supervisors,co-workers, clients) via strong communication skills; proficiency in theEnglish language may be required

• Computerproficiency required

• Must be atleast 18 years of age
