Job Title: Library IT Analyst Location with zip code: Tacoma, WA 98402 Duration: 6 Months Pay Rate: $55-$60/Hour Interview: video Job Description: This position is critical to the client's operations mission to provide patron-facing computing resources and securing Library-specific systems under the supervision of the Library IT Manager. The candidate will work during typical working hours and Library business days (typical hours are between 7am and 5pm Pacific Time). Candidate should expect to work in collaboration with Tacoma Public Library IT, City ITD, and vendors. Roles & Responsibilities: Work to update and secure the Library's RHEL systems in coordination with the City of Tacoma's ITD team and Clarivate vendor. Update and configure security certificates. Update, configure, secure, and document the systems supporting the Library's Windows-based public computer lab. Perform configuration and maintenance on the Library's SonicWall NSa systems. Document systems and changes as needed. Fulfill tickets and collaborate with Library IT Team on break/fix and request tickets. Maintain Library DNS systems and update as needed. Respond to customer reported incidents and fulfill customer requests. Required Experience: Expert knowledge in server administration for both Linux (RHEL) and Windows systems. Expert knowledge in upgrading application servers, database systems. Expert knowledge of WSUS system administration. Expert knowledge in Windows Group Policy. Expert knowledge in server administration, protocols, ports, SSL certificate. Management, OS administration, scripting, CLI administration. Expert knowledge in documenting processes and following best practices. Knowledge in maintaining and configuring SonicWall NSa firewalls. Excellent customer service and communication skills. Expert knowledge and experience with Cisco Umbrella DNS filtering.
