The Opportunity Lab Technician at the Tacoma Refinery at Par Pacific, a growing energy company Reporting to the Lab Supervisor, you will analyze various petroleum-based products to ensure quality and regulatory standards are met. Key activities include: Conduct in-process and finished tank testing of various petroleum-based products Use equipment use such as: Automated Distillation Apparatus, Viscometer, Flash Point, Cloud/Pour Point, Densometer, VP Analyzer, pH, and Ammonia in the performance of Lab Technician duties Train in Lab Specific Programs in accordance with a set qualification progression path Participate in all safety training and attend all monthly lab safety meetings. Actively engage with other lab technicians in a team environment Support 24/7 refinery operations by working assigned shift (including opportunity for holiday pay). Lab Technicians will normally work an 8 or 10-hour shift of rotating day and swing shifts on a 4-week basis. Qualifications To meet the basic qualifications for employment, you will have legal authorization to work permanently in the United States for any employer without requiring a visa transfer or visa sponsorship.
