The Aftermarket Project Manager is an integral part of this success as the direct customer contact for service and support for their AST system. You will work to turn requests into professional proposals that lead to projects that deliver AST’s exceptional quality products.
Responsibilities and Activities:

Timely process customer requests for technical information/proposals, gather and organize data, and clearly identify and communicate deliverables and delivery deadlines with a scope of work and pricing.
Receive customer inquiries via phone/email directly and process them effectively into either a support/commercial proposal or seek the appropriate information from department heads for any quick support request.
Effectively create and manage customer orders by maintaining budget and schedule, keeping open communication between all impacted parties and meeting or exceeding customer needs and customer satisfaction goals.
Develop proposals by working with department heads to calculating labor and material costs/markup and process Aftermarket customer invoices.
Generate and maintain customer order and releasing data using internal ERP system.
Develop full-scale project plans and associated communications documents to enable the effective management of projects from beginning to end.
Evaluate current projects status during all phases and organize efforts to keep each design team on schedule, on budget, and within the design intent of each machine.
Facilitate design team meetings and organize solutions for any current challenges to budget, schedule, or customer satisfaction.
Organize and facilitate project meetings internally and with customers.
Proactively manage project scope changes and critical path changes. Communicate all changes internally and with customers.
Work directly with customers on project communications.
Plan and schedule project milestones and adjust for any changes. Identify any risks and devise contingency plans to keep project on track.
Actively track milestones, progress payments, and deliverables. Provide management with reporting as required.
Define project success criteria and communicate them to involved individuals throughout the project life cycle.
Understand scope of work and manage internal efforts to ensure minimal scope creep.
Update the AST Production Schedule and other documents for responsible projects.
Adhere to all company policies, procedures, and ethics codes.
Perform other duties as assigned to ensure the success of projects, individuals, and company goals.
Core Competencies, Skills and Abilities:
Working experience in project management.
Bachelor’s degree in a related curriculum.
Demonstrated experience in Customer Relations.
Able to effectively prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment.
Ability to interpret communication styles of team members and customers who come from a diverse spectrum of disciplines.
Self-motivated, energetic, dependable, honest, and thorough.
Strong organizational, and communication skills are required.
Team attitude; eager to cooperate with others with exceptional interpersonal communication skills.
Ability to conform to shifting priorities, demands, and timelines through analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
Ability to change direction and handle multiple responsibilities and tasks on a regular basis.
Exceptionally high level of commitment to the success of projects.
Willing to put in the effort and hours needed for the success of each project.
Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint, MS Project). AutoCAD, Solid Modeling, FEA, and motion analysis software experience a plus.
Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without restriction.
Must be willing to take and successfully pass a drug test.
