DescriptionAs part of the Leadership team, the IT Site Director is responsible for leading the information technology activities and support for the Husky terminal. This role is the main interface for all IT functions to the business and will be the conduit for the business to receive IT services and support.ResponsibilitiesRecommends and plans information technology operating solutions and processes reengineering efforts to support and meet company objectives based on research and evaluation.Will provide leadership to the junior Site manager(s) for the business unit with them having a functional (dotted line) reporting to this role.set strategic vision in the analysis and planning of terminal operating systems and technology related work processes while directing the activities of integration, new technology and business process efforts for site and lend guidance other sites.Collaborate with remote and enterprise IT support to build tiered support systemAlign with business needs and facilitate IT/operational processes for optimal productivity.Recommends and plans information technology operating solutions and processes reengineering efforts to support and meet company objectives based on research and evaluation.Develops and directs projects within approved fiscal budget limitsMaintains an understanding of Terminal Operating Systems, processes and reengineering efforts and provides recommendations for internal efforts that meet company objectives. Ensure that moves, adds and changes are performed in a timely matter.Participate in the ongoing enhancement of the technology infrastructure. This includes the requirements, design and implementations of new facilities, local area networks, servers workstations/ PC, remote/home communication and other new technologies.Daily business process support and training on all IT technology utilized by terminal operations.Project Management of IT initiatives relating to site supported inclusive of providing business cases, charters, SOW's and AFEs.Collaborate and align IT objectives with other business units and leaders through regular or routine meetings and steering committeesManage and maintain IT Operating and Capital budgets with business leaders and IT leadershipLiaison between operational team and IT staff including the creation of functional specification documentationProvide direct communication to customers regarding IT issues and initiativesCoordinate inter-departmental resources for deployments, project management, and inventory control.Handle project's specific to the terminal/customer in writing up business cases, charters, SOW's, PEA's and risks.Minimum RequirementsBA degree, Computer Science or related field.10+ years of related work experience5+ years plus in the maritime industry in a union environment preferred5+ years in management/leadership role5+ years with Terminal Operating Systems: development / enhancement, deployment and support.Requires the ability to obtain and maintain a Transportation Workers Identification Card and a Maryland Port Authority Badge.A valid Driver's License in good standing is required.Knowledge, Skills & AbilitiesRequires problem analysis and problem resolution skills at both a strategic and functional level.Requires the ability to communicate effectively with diverse customers and market bases.Requires the ability to conduct and evaluate employee training and development.Must have excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal.Must have proven abilities to manage and maintain high performance teams and develop strong team players.Must have technical skills and experience in Marine Terminal Operating Systems.Must have the ability to conduct user training.Must possess strong customer orientation.Ports America is an Equal Opport
