In your role as a Food Service Officer, you will be responsible for maintaining custody, care, and control of inmates assigned to Food Service activities while enforcing and following facility rules, regulations, policies, and procedures. Responsibilities In This Role You Will Direct, supervise, and monitor detainees assigned to Food Services in terms of food preparation, cleanup, and sanitation. Monitor inmate or detainee movements, conduct counts, and respond to emergencies. Perform shakedowns for contraband materials and confiscate prohibited items as per policies and procedures. Keep daily logs on inmates (including disciplinary reports). Provide prompt and appropriate assistance to those who have been injured, ill, or have suffered trauma. Report any maintenance or repair needs to keep your facility clean. Successful completion of training courses as required by GEO and facility training standards, including ACA required training. Demonstrated experience in food service activities, with commercial or institutional meal preparation preferred.
