Description

Contract Details

  • This is a contract position to support the Seattle VA healthcare system at their American Lake VA Medical Center.

  • Contract length will be 1-year contracts with renewal up to 5 years.

  • Schedule will be Monday through Friday, 8 - 4:30 PM.

  • No weekends, on call, or holidays required. Overtime will be rare if ever.

Responsibilities

  • shall carry out medical cardiology functions with certified Medical ECHO Sonographer. Certification by the Medical ECHO Sonographer Certification Board and shall receive technical direction from the VA Cardiology Medical Service.

  • shall perform, in conjunction with the Contractor’s Echo sonographer, treatment planning for performing Echocardiograms, Stress Testing, Treadmill Testing, Bubble Studies, and Definity Studies.

  • shall perform calculation methods for the delivery of prescribed dose, and subsequent documentation in patient files, and verification of the mathematical accuracy of all calculations using a system established by the Contractor’s Echo Sonographer.

Requirements

  • Board Certification-echo sonographers must be registered with American registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography.

  • At least 3+ years as a echo sonographer.

  • Ability to clear any required VA credentialing.

  • Must be a US citizen.

This job is CONTINGENT upon contract award, client approval, completion of a favorable background investigation, and the ability to obtain and maintain a Public Trust / High Risk clearance.
