Heritage Bank Business Analyst (On-site Washington State) in Tacoma, Washington

Base Salary Range:

Level I - $31.55 - $39.44 - $47.32 hourly 

Level II - $72,180.00 - $90,230.00 - $108,270.00 annual 

Depending on qualifications and experience, Business Analyst I or II may be considered.

Position Overview:

The *business analyst *is responsible for providing data analysis expertise to assist assigned business units succeed, by examining different aspects of the business's operations to identify areas for improvement, enhancing efficiencies and addressing organizational challenges. The business analyst receives moderate guidance and direction and requires knowledge and experience in business analysis to solve a variety of straightforward situations using standard procedures to analyze possible solutions. 

This position is full-time, onsite in Tacoma, Washington.

*The successful candidate: *

Provides consultative assistance to assigned business units, interacts with stakeholders at various organizational levels, gains understanding of business unit requirements, collects feedback, and researches, to align initiatives with business goals and objectives.  

Plans, designs, and analyzes user requirements for development and/or support. Participates in User Acceptance Testing (UAT) to verify solutions fulfill business requirements and are user-friendly for end-users. 

Develops documentation including business requirements documents, process flowcharts, and use cases, to facilitate communication with stakeholders, and steer the direction of project implementation.

Adheres to change management processes, assisting stakeholders in adapting to new systems and processes via training, communication, and active stakeholder engagement.

Collaborates with IT partners on technical aspects of system design, architecture, and implementation.

Cultivates strong working relationships with internal business partners and technical support teams to provide general project management services.

Reviews and analyzes system issues to identify solutions or escalates to tier two or tier three support and/or management for resolution.

Assists with evaluating and defining vendor releases to align with bank priorities and ensures new or modified processes and systems meet objectives and business requirements.

Participates as a business unit project team member and/or lead during process change projects and/or core banking conversions, as requested and needed.

Maintains professional and technical knowledge through educational workshops, reviewing professional publications, and networking and participation in professional organizations.

Understands and maintains working knowledge of, and ensures bank activities are performed in compliance with, all state and federal banking laws and regulations applicable to assigned area.
