What you'll do...
This role involves collaboration with multiple stakeholders to implement business-critical capabilities that directly impact millions of customers worldwide. It also includes building and contributing to platforms in the last-mile delivery domain. This position demands the use of technical expertise to develop effective software solutions, influencing customer experience on a global scale. About Team:
Focusing on customer, associate and business needs, this team works with Walmart International, which includes more than 5,200 retail units, operating in 23 countries such as Canada, Central America, Chile, China, India, Mexico and South Africa to name a few.
What you'll do:
In this role, you will collaborate with product managers to understand project requirements and work with teams globally to arrive at optimal solutions involving key stakeholders.
Build and lead a strong team of Tech Leads, Senior Engineers, and Junior Engineers to execute projects effectively.
Collaborate with product managers to ensure project requirements are met and value is delivered to the business.
Manage risks and dependencies effectively, ensuring smooth project delivery.
Work closely with architects to develop high-level and low-level designs for projects.
Contribute to Operational Excellence and Engineering Excellence initiatives to drive continuous improvement.
Create tools and systems to enhance team productivity and efficiency.
What you'll bring:
Over 12 years of experience in developing REST web services using Spring Boot and JAVA.
3+ years of managing a team and building a team from scratch.
Experience with asynchronous messaging using Kafka and NoSQL technologies.
Proven experience in building multi-tenant software platforms.
Experience in deploying to cloud services like Azure or GCP.
A deep interest and passion for technology.
The ability to learn quickly and view learning as a continuous experience.
Eagerness to share knowledge and implement best practices within the team.
Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Self-motivation to work in a fast-paced, results-driven agile environment with varied responsibilities.
A propensity for taking ownership and delivering on commitments.

The annual salary range for this position is $143,000.00-$286,000.00
Additional compensation includes annual or quarterly performance bonuses.

Minimum Qualifications...

Option 1: Bachelor's degree in computer science, computer engineering, computer information systems, software engineering, or related area and 5 years’ experience in software engineering or related area. Option 2: 7 years’ experience in software engineering or related area.
