Responsible for the implementation of safe, therapeutically effective patient care in all areas of the hospital. As a member of the nursing management team, coordinate operations between nursing units and represents hospital administration in hospital operations in the absence of the Administrative team.

Education:

  • Associates Degree in Registered Nursing: Required

  • Bachelors of Science in Nursing (BSN): Preferred

Experience:

  • Minimum 2-5 years Leadership Nursing Experience: Required

Licenses/Registrations/Certifications:

  • WA State Licensure of Registered Nursing: Required

  • BLS Certification: Required

  • Must obtain ACLS, and PALS within 2 years of employment

Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:

  • Demonstrated leadership ability, critical thinking skills and judgement.

  • Communication skills, commitment to patient centered care, change management and conflict resolution.

  • Knowledge of nursing principles and standards of care.

    Working Conditions & Physical Requirements:

The work requires regular and recurring physical exertion such as standing or walking for prolonged periods of time; frequent bending, reaching, stooping, crouching and stretching required during the normal course of the day. The employee must exert 10-20 pounds of force constantly to move objects and must frequently lift and/or move objects up to 50 pounds. Requires frequent repetitive hand/wrist motions and finger manipulation. Requires normal/corrected vision and hearing to normal range. The work involves recurring exposure to moderate risks which require special safety and health precautions and the use of Personal Protective Equipment; risks such as exposure to contagious diseases, contaminated bodily fluids, sharp instruments, and other contaminants.
