Responsible for the implementation of safe, therapeutically effective patient care in all areas of the hospital. As a member of the nursing management team, coordinate operations between nursing units and represents hospital administration in hospital operations in the absence of the Administrative team.
Associates Degree in Registered Nursing: Required
Bachelors of Science in Nursing (BSN): Preferred
- Minimum 2-5 years Leadership Nursing Experience: Required
WA State Licensure of Registered Nursing: Required
BLS Certification: Required
Must obtain ACLS, and PALS within 2 years of employment
Demonstrated leadership ability, critical thinking skills and judgement.
Communication skills, commitment to patient centered care, change management and conflict resolution.
Knowledge of nursing principles and standards of care.
Working Conditions & Physical Requirements:
The work requires regular and recurring physical exertion such as standing or walking for prolonged periods of time; frequent bending, reaching, stooping, crouching and stretching required during the normal course of the day. The employee must exert 10-20 pounds of force constantly to move objects and must frequently lift and/or move objects up to 50 pounds. Requires frequent repetitive hand/wrist motions and finger manipulation. Requires normal/corrected vision and hearing to normal range. The work involves recurring exposure to moderate risks which require special safety and health precautions and the use of Personal Protective Equipment; risks such as exposure to contagious diseases, contaminated bodily fluids, sharp instruments, and other contaminants.
