We are seeking a motivated and hands-on Systems Test Engineer to join our Systems Engineering, Integration and Testing (SEIT) team. This team is composed of system engineers, data scientists, and test engineers dedicated to advancing the knowledge of robotics and automation, and the fulfillment of millions of customer orders every day. The Test Engineer will provide hands-on support during test runs on new technology, including recording test run data, making observations on machine performance, coordinating testing logistics, and preparing test articles. The role will conduct test cases provided by SEIT, provide reports based on results, and collaborate with the team to continuously improve testing methods.
Responsibilities

Conduct test cases provided by SEIT and provide reports based on results.
Collaborate with Test Engineers to improve test cases and methods of testing.
Communicate with Program team members to influence the product graduation path.
Essential Skills
2+ years of quality assurance engineering experience.
Experience in verification testing.
Degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering or equivalent experience.
Experience working in new technology or product development.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering.
Experience designing and planning test conditions, test scripts, and test data sets.
Deep hands-on technical expertise in testing of electro-mechanical systems.
Experience writing test reports analyzing data.
Experience in automation or robotic systems.
An understanding of rapid prototyping options.
Experience with Agile Development.
Experience with FEA (Ansys and/or SW Simulation).
Understanding of safety systems.
Familiar with a manufacturing environment.
Basic coding/scripting capabilities.
Experience creating test plans derived from functional design requirements.
Experience with Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerance.
Experience in 3D CAD (SolidWorks preferred).
Design experience of simple parts, assemblies, and fixtures.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Experience with Electro-Mechanical systems.
Ability and desire to work hands on in lab environments.
Work Environment
The work environment is a lab setting located at BFI1 (Auburn, WA) and BOS27 (Westborough, MA). The SEIT team is a multi-disciplinary environment of system engineers, data scientists, and test engineers focused on robotics and automation. The role requires 25-30% national travel and involves initial lab acclimation before transitioning to more independent field testing. The team collaborates with various members of the organization, including product owners, TPMs, and system engineers. The testing process involves conducting test cases, providing feedback on test cases and requirements, and handling 100-150 requirements end-to-end. Tasks may include handling freight and basic logistics, such as palletizing and inducting items.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $55.00 - $60.00
