Job Description:

Responsible for planning, coordinating, implementing and directing developmentinspection methods, innovative opportunities, and documentation of new and existing programs and products as assigned within AIM Quality departments.

Supervisory Responsibilities:

This job has no supervisory responsibilities.

Responsibilities Include:

  • Apply knowledge of materials, composites, and metal bond to specifications, engineering documents or other contractual or purchase order requirements and applicable regulatory requirements.

  • Provide Quality interpretation of requirements and apply technical expertise to be able to monitor, coach or recommend improvements in developing and maintaining internal processes that are repeatable, cost effective, and environmentally friendly.

  • Analyze non-conformance trends to evaluate effectiveness of corrective actions.

  • Recommend corrective actions to address non conformances. Conduct training programs and coordinate company initiatives to improve supplier performance and productivity.

  • Assist Lead (focal) for NADCAP audit activities, and customer audits related to DPD and metrology.

  • Active participation in company Zero Defects program – involvement in developing solutions to process issues that create scrap/MRB/rework. Consult with management, QA and engineering personnel to continuously improve operational procedures to improve overall repeatability, reproducibility, and efficiency on product yields, including leadership of improvement based projects.

  • Responsible for implementing changes directly related to inspection activities and part processing through company change processes. Creation and validation (or delegation) of CMM programs, troubleshooting and analysis of rejects/failures and generation of documentation pertaining to AS9100 and NADCAP requirements. Assist with FAI and inspection activities for products and tools as requested by site QA managers.

  • Responsible for implementing and utilizing AS9100 Quality Management processes to ensure that our products are manufactured to meet the dimensions, specifications, quality and any other features or requirements specified by our customers.

  • Participate in continuous improvement activities pertaining to customer feedback, management, manufacturing, and supply chain processes.

  • Review customer/internal/industry specifications to ensure compliance with stated requirements.

  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • Excellent communication skills

  • Ability to work under pressure while maintaining perspective

  • Experience in composites (preferred)

  • Strong and collaborative relationships with upper management, peers and production team members

  • Direct problem solving, searches for root cause and addresses issues

  • Addresses conflict directly and works to resolve differences proactively

Education and/or Experience:

Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or related field; or equivalent combination of education and experience. 3-7 years of experience directly related to the duties and responsibilities specified in a manufacturing environment preferred.
