Pay Rate: $26.77-$26.77 Per hour

Job Summary:

The Production Technician will be responsible for monitoring and maintaining the production process, operating manufacturing equipment, and ensuring compliance with all safety, quality, and regulatory standards. This role requires a strong commitment to safety, quality assurance, and a focus on continuous improvement. The technician will actively engage in learning and applying machine operations, perform changeovers and maintenance, and document activities accurately in various systems.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Monitor and Operate Production Equipment: Ensure smooth operation of manufacturing equipment and monitor production processes to meet established performance and quality standards. Perform routine checks to ensure that equipment is functioning correctly.

  • Safety Compliance: Adhere to all safety policies and procedures and demonstrate safe behaviors at all times. Report safety hazards and assist in maintaining a safe working environment.

  • Quality Control & Compliance: Follow quality systems and policies, including Quality Data System (QDS), Safe Quality Food (SQF), Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), and Hazard Analysis Critical Control Points (HACCP). Ensure that all processes meet or exceed safety and quality standards.

  • Machine Operations Learning: Engage in learning machine operations and apply knowledge to improve the efficiency and quality of production processes. Ensure that work is performed according to standard operating procedures.

  • Changeovers & Line Maintenance: Perform changeovers and cleanings, including line clearance and pre-checks, according to standard work protocols to minimize downtime and maintain efficiency.

  • Documentation & Verification: Complete required documentation and verification activities across multiple systems (including COLOS for labeling, PeopleSoft, ERP Systems, Manufacturing Execution Systems, Trackwise, and paper records). Ensure that all activities are recorded in a timely manner and in compliance with operational and quality standards.

  • Escalate Issues & Process Improvements: Identify and escalate line issues, inefficiencies, and opportunities for improvement. Participate in Root Cause Corrective Action (RCCA) processes to address issues and implement solutions.

  • Collaboration & Support: Work as part of a team to maintain production schedules, troubleshoot issues, and support continuous improvement initiatives. Participate in training and development activities as needed.

Qualifications:

  • Education:

  • High School Diploma or GED required.

  • Experience:

  • Prior experience in a manufacturing or light industrial environment is preferred.

  • Familiarity with machine operations and quality control processes is beneficial but not required.

  • Skills & Abilities:

  • Ability to follow detailed instructions and standard operating procedures.

  • Strong attention to detail and ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.

  • Basic computer skills and familiarity with enterprise software systems (e.g., ERP, Manufacturing Execution System).

  • Strong communication skills and ability to work collaboratively in a team.

  • Physical Requirements:

  • Must be able to stand for extended periods and perform physical tasks, including lifting, bending, and handling materials.

  • Steel-toe shoes are required as part of the company’s PPE (Personal Protective Equipment) policy.

Pay Details: $26.77 per hour
