Freight Handler

Pay: $20/hour

Shift: 10:30am-6:00pm

Location: Sumner, WA

Job Description

We are seeking dedicated and hardworking individuals to join our team as Freight Handlers. In this role, you will be responsible for unloading and loading freight from containers, palletizing, and performing quality checks on products. You must be capable of lifting 50-75 lbs. on a regular basis and occasionally lifting up to 120 lbs. with assistance.

Responsibilities

• Hand load and unload freight from inbound and outbound containers

• Pick orders from lower-level racking using a push cart

• Verify contents of packages prior to shipping

• Package contents into boxes

• Ship products in a timely fashion

• Maintain high productivity to meet production standards

Essential Skills

• Ability to lift 50-75 lbs. repeatedly

• Attention to detail when reading numbers and instructions

• Willingness to unload trucks for the entirety of the shift

• Experience in loading, unloading, paperwork handling, palletizing, picking, shipping, and receiving

• Familiarity with material handling, packing, RF scanners, warehouse inventory, and general labor task

Work Environment

You will be working in a 425,000 square foot warehouse with products stacked on racks in the middle of the facility and dock doors surrounding the outside. Forklifts are constantly moving throughout the facility and in and out of containers. Shifts are Monday through Friday, with day shifts from 7 am to 3:30 pm and swing shifts from 3 pm to 11:30 pm.
