Form Press Operator

Job Description

We are looking for a Form Press Operator with a thorough understanding of or the ability to quickly learn production operations and machinery, specifically Hot Forming Press Brake and Sheetmetal Forming. This role requires maintaining knowledge of processes and equipment, improving production efficiency, and troubleshooting production problems. You will also be responsible for keeping track of inventory, obtaining quotes when needed, ensuring compliance with safety regulations, and maintaining continuity among work shifts by documenting and communicating actions, irregularities, and continuing needs. Additionally, you will work closely with other department leads to ensure schedule adherence.

Responsibilities

  • Operate hot forming machine.

  • Maintain and improve production efficiency.

  • Troubleshoot production problems.

  • Keep track of inventory and obtain quotes when needed.

  • Ensure compliance with applicable safety regulations, policies, and procedures.

  • Maintain continuity among work shifts by documenting and communicating actions, irregularities, and continuing needs.

  • Work with other department leads to ensure schedule adherence.

Essential Skills

  • 4 years of prior manufacturing experience.

  • 2 years of team leading experience.

  • Experience in sheet metal forming.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • Ability to communicate concisely: verbally, in writing, and with sketches or technical drawings.

  • Ability to read and interpret mold drawings.

  • PC skills and basic knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel.

  • Ability to work in harmony with all plant personnel.

  • Professional demeanor.

  • Good interpersonal skills.

  • Self-starter mindset.

  • Willingness to work overtime, holiday schedules, and weekends if required.

Work Environment

You will be working in a clean aerospace manufacturing facility, operating machines that are in the 1300-1400 Degree F range. Currently, there are 2 employees in the department.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Sumner, Washington.
