Job Title: Freight Handler

Job Description

We are seeking dedicated individuals to join our team as Freight Handlers. This role is vital in ensuring the efficient and timely handling of freight. Candidates must be prepared to load and unload freight from containers, palletize, and perform quality checks on products. This position requires the ability to lift weights ranging from 50-75 lbs. regularly.

Responsibilities

• Hand load and unload freight from inbound/outbound containers.

• Pick orders from lower-level racking with a push cart.

• Verify contents of packages prior to shipping.

• Package contents into boxes.

• Ship products in a timely fashion.

• Maintain high productivity to meet production levels and standards.

Essential Skills

• Ability to lift 50 lbs. repeatedly.

• Attention to detail with reading numbers.

• Willingness to unload trucks for the entirety of the shift.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Experience with load and unload procedures.

• Familiarity with paperwork, palletizing, and picking orders.

• Skills in shipping and receiving, material handling, and packing.

• Competency in using RF scanners and handling warehouse inventory.

Work Environment

The work environment is a 425,000 square foot warehouse with product stacked in the middle of the facility on racks and dock doors surrounding the outside. Forklifts are constantly moving throughout the facility and in and out of containers. The shift schedules are Monday to Friday, Day shift from 7am-3:30pm, and Swing shift from 3pm-11:30pm.
