Washington State DSHS BHA Resident Records Technician in Steilacoom, Washington

Description We are hiring a Forms and Records Analyst 1 *who has excellent organization skills, committed attention to detail, and problem-solving skills. This is a great entry-level career opportunity. You will provide assistance in all phases of manual, electronic, and/or automated records management in the Records Center at DSHS's Special Commitment Center on McNeil Island. You will also assist with the retrieval and input of information into resident records. *Some of what you will be doing * File and obtain documents from clinical and residential staff * Provide disclosure of records for legal and administrative purposes * Convert paper documents to electronic format * Track requests and maintain a log of requests * Coordinate responses to document request with program staff and various agencies * Determine and complete redaction needed to maintain confidentiality using computer redaction software * Design, develop and update forms Who should apply? * Professionals with an Associate's degree in business administration, accounting, industrial engineering, or a related field * Or, a* High school graduation/equivalent *and 2 years of experience in forms and/or records management * Working knowledge of Adobe Acrobat Professional and E-Copy * Preferred knowledge of State and Federal statutes and regulations governing HIPAA confidentiality, Public Disclosure, Public Records and Privacy * Experience using redaction software * Proficient in word processing, database use, spreadsheets, and electronic correspondence See why people like you chose careers with DSHS.
