Job Summary

Volleyball Gym Supervisors function as independent site supervisors, providing a visible and professional presence throughout adult volleyball league games. Incumbents are responsible for setup and takedown of volleyball equipment, and overall management and oversight of the facility, activity, participants, and spectators. This position requires ability to work independently and demonstrate strong, positive leadership skills. Volleyball knowledge is helpful, but not required.

Current vacancies are for Volleyball Gym Supervisors, working Friday evenings typically from 5:30pm- 9:15pm (approximately 4 hours per week) beginning mid-October 2024 through late-May 2025.

Volleyball Gym Supervisor positions are available in various Central Valley School District Middle School gymnasiums and Mead School District gymnasiums. Location assignments are based on volleyball program registration numbers, incumbents residential proximity, and department need.

This recruitment may be used to fill up to eight (8) vacancies.

Examples of Duties

  • Set-up/take-down of volleyball equipment.

  • Greeting and directing participants to assigned court.

  • Ensuring games remain on schedule.

  • Recording scores after each game concludes.

  • Enforcing all County and school district rules.

  • Performs other related functions as directed.

Minimum Requirements

TRAINING AND EXPERIENCE: Must be at least 18 years old. Knowledge of volleyball rules and regulations is beneficial, but not required.

BACKGROUND CHECK: All positions require successful clearance of a Washington State Patrol inquiry under the Child and Adult Abuse Information Act.
