Transportation Technical Engineer (TTE) Spokane, WA - Eastern Region $91,068 - $122,496 Annually
Washington State Department of Transportation (WSDOT) is currently seeking a Transportation Technical Engineer located at the Eastern Region (ER) Local Programs Office in Spokane, Washington. Through WSDOT's Stewardship Agreement with the Federal Highway Administration, this position manages federal and state grant programs by directing, guiding, and representing cities, counties, transit organizations, port districts, tribal nations, and other agencies in the Eastern Region. This position also manages activities to coordinate, review, process, and fund transportation and transit projects in approximately 50 municipalities, MPO's and RTPO's, tribal nations, port districts, and other agencies within the Eastern Region.
The Transportation Technical Engineer uses independent decision making and problem-solving skills in providing direction, guidance, and support to the various agencies during preliminary engineering, design, right of way, and construction administration of local agency transportation projects to ensure the agencies meet all technical, design, legal, and procedural requirements. This position also acts for, and on behalf of the ER Region Local Programs Engineer in his absence and supervises two subordinate positions.
