Washington State Department of Transportation (WSDOT) is currently seeking a Transportation Engineer 2 in Spokane, WA. Under the direction of the Regional Plans/Design Manager and Design Documentation Engineer, this position is responsible for ensuring the quality of design, documentation, and plans that are produced or managed in Eastern region, for the benefit of the public and contracting sector that uses our plans to bid and efficiently build infrastructure. Duties include providing guidance and review of PS&E submittals for project offices through the 30-60-90 review process. Reviews contract plans submittal packages for accuracy and constructability. Review of design documentation and detailed review of proposed roadway geometrics for adherence to current standards. Additional duties include assisting the region's Right of Way, Survey, and Utilities sections with permitting, field surveying, and preparation/review of right of way and survey documents.
