Job Description Provides operational, technical, and analytical support for the System Operations group, specifically the System Operators, on items such as transmission system status and performance, industry operating policies and criteria, and daily and future operation of the Company’s electric transmission facilities. Engineering support also includes performing seasonal and daily operational planning studies as required; coordinating, developing, implementing and maintaining system operating procedures; recommending, analyzing, and supporting system capital projects; and developing practices and procedures that support the Company’s overall compliance with applicable mandatory reliability standards. Participates in regional operating committees, task forces, and work groups as required.
Requirements
Bachelor of Science in ABET accredited Engineering Program
Effective and flexible communication skills
Engineer:
Minimum of four (4) years engineering work experience required
Senior Engineer:
Minimum of eight (8) years engineering work experience required
Professional Engineering License
Demonstrated skills illustrating use of productivity, presentation, and analytical tools specific to area of expertise
Demonstrated technical leadership within engineering
Demonstrated positive and effective working relationships with internal and external parties
Other combinations of experience, training, and education may be considered.

Hybrid work options are available for this role. The successful candidate will be required to work at our Spokane, Washington headquarters at least 3 days per week including Mondays and Tuesdays with an additional day determined by the employee and manager.
