Basic FunctionHolly Energy Partners located in Spokane, WA is seeking a Terminal Technician. The Terminal Technician conducts intermediate level operations, assignments and duties for the Pipeline Department under general supervision. Works unsupervised the majority of the time and may be required to utilize independent judgment based on knowledge of the operation, making decisions about safety standards and operations as needed.Job DutiesOversees product receipts and deliveries at the terminal, ensuring precise definitive measures to protect product qualityEnsures equipment is operating safely and properlyPerforms quality control checks on the productOperates the truck loading rack and troubleshoots problems when requiredPerforms tank lineups for outbound shipments and inbound receipts and ensures timeliness and efficiency of the processFollows written procedures for various job duties and adheres to all safety procedures at all times Represents Company policy to truck drivers, contractors and third parties working close to company assets and monitors their activitiesOperates Company vehicle and equipmentResponsible for dig test one call system, monitoring one calls, and dispatching to the location as neededMaintains balance of the terminal (i.e., Barrels in/Barrels out) and Product Accountability of the TerminalProves Truck Rack and Pipeline meters to ensure accuracyGenerates various reports for daily distributionLocates underground pipelines and assets using instrumentationSpecial assignments or tasks assigned to the employee by their supervisor, as determined from timeto time in their sole and complete discretion.ExperienceA minimum of twoyears of job related experience is required.Education LevelA minimum of a High School Diploma or equivalent is required.Preferred Education:A Bachelors Degree is preferred.Required SkillsIntermediate knowledge of the pipeline department. Working knowledge of DOT safety rules and regulations. Ability to make decisions as to operations and safety standards. Ability to make decisions as to operations and safety standards. Intermediate reading and writing skills with the ability to perform intermediate mathematical calculations. Ability to effectively communicate with others, both written and verbal communication.Supervisory/Managerial ResponsibilityManages customers representatives and contractors while on company property.Work ConditionsField based. Petroleum refinery, out-of-doors environment and driver based environment, including but not limited to chemicals, pressure vessels, tanks, rotating equipment, exposure to the risk of electrical shock, and working in confined spaces. Subject to all temperatures.
