Job Description
The Technician Helper - Facilities will be responsible for the upkeep, cleaning, and basic facility maintenance of a new aircraft hangar. Primary duties include janitorial tasks such as using cleaning supplies, disposing of trash, moving materials, sweeping, and general upkeep. Secondary duties involve basic facility maintenance like simple carpentry fixes, painting, cleaning the woodworking room, cleaning hangar workshops and classrooms, checking the paint room, and running errands for gas, repair materials, and cleaning supplies. The role may also require unloading equipment on aircraft, building supports to hold aircraft assemblies in place, and supporting main office areas with standard maintenance work.
Responsibilities
Perform janitorial tasks using cleaning supplies, disposing of trash, moving materials, and sweeping.
Conduct basic facility maintenance such as simple carpentry fixes and painting.
Clean the woodworking room, hangar workshops, classrooms, and check the paint room.
Run errands for gas, repair materials, and cleaning supplies.
Help unload equipment on aircraft and build supports to hold aircraft assemblies.
Support main office areas with standard maintenance work, including fixing things and assembling office furniture.
Essential Skills
Experience with basic hand tools and the ability to read a tape measure.
Comfortable working in hangar and outside environments with variable conditions.
Comfortable climbing ladders and operating scissor lifts.
Ability to occasionally lift up to 60 lbs unassisted.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
General labor experience.
Facilities maintenance knowledge.
Skills in painting, cleanup, and construction.
