WASHINGTON TRUST BANK Technical Product Owner in Spokane, Washington

Description The primary objectives of Technical Product Owners are to help translate functional and non-functional requirements from stakeholders to a highly technical team of developers. Incumbents will be responsible for understanding and balancing the needs of multiple stakeholders; planning business analysis activities; conducting feasibility analyses, eliciting and clearly defining business, technical and other requirements; and facilitating the planning, analysis, and systems design phases of the Software Development Lifecycle. Essential Functions: Creates, plans and maintains the product backlog - with business, functional and sometimes technical details. Collaborates with the development team, the business product owner and the architecture team to create the development backlog. Makes sure the Definition of Ready is met for every item in the backlog. Writes clear Acceptance Criteria for both business and technical items, including Test scenarios if possible. Prioritizes the backlog(s) for delivery, ensuring visibility on 3 months roadmap. Monitors delivery and run KPIs and assures that they are in accordance with the SLAs agreed. Maintains the improvement plan of the team as part of the overall backlog. Offers feedback and aligns with the technical leads for the appraisal of people in the development team. Participates in the Agile ceremonies, stand-up, planning and retro and facilitates the refinement sessions. Leads the Sprint Review with stakeholders while also recording and managing feedback. Providing an active role in mitigating impediments impacting successful team completion of Re-lease/Sprint Goals. Maintains overall knowledge of commercial banking practices and business unit functions. Provide tier 3 support to assist with escalated issues or problems from bank employees. Oversees and documents change management for application changes and bank control changes. Ensures all applications under management are current on all releases, patches, and that documentation (including installation instructions, application risk assessments, FAQ's, security set up and troubleshooting guides) is kept up-to-date. Assists with special projects or duties as assigned. Maintains overall knowledge of general banking practices and business unit functions. Performs compliance and risk management duties as required or assigned. Regular, reliable attendance is required. Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in MIS, Computer science or related field or equivalent related experience in software development as an engineer are preferred. 5+ years of related technical experience in software development in an Agile Environment Commercial Banking industry experience is strongly preferred Knowledge of Business Analysis, Agile, Waterfall, Kaizen and SDLC. Familiar with UX Design principles and the UX Design Systems Familiar with common modeling frameworks for business processes, experience with BPMN is a plus. Familiar with common modeling frameworks for software design, experience with UML/C4 is a plus. Strong communication skills; ability to analyze, synthesize and articulate complex ideas to multiple levels of the organization; technical writing skills as needed for documentation. Strong interpersonal skills; ability to collaborate and work effectively with diverse groups of people. Ability to work additional hours as required by operational and production work loads. Compensation: $80,522 - $120,837 The compensation range represents the low and high end of the base compensation range for this position located in Spokane, WA. Actual compensation will vary and may be above or below the range based on various factors including but not limited to location, experience, and performance.
