Robert Half Staff Accountant in Spokane, Washington

Description

Are you a detail-oriented professional with a passion for accounting? We’re seeking a dynamic Staff Accountant to join our finance team! In this role, you’ll play a crucial part in managing daily accounting operations, supporting project costing, and enhancing financial workflows. Your contributions will drive accuracy and efficiency across our finance functions, making a significant impact on our success.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Cost Analysis & Reporting: Collaborate with the Senior Cost Accountant on machine costing reports and analytics. Assist in project-related cost assessments.

  • Cross-Department Collaboration: Work closely with the Customer Service Coordinator to review and reconcile field service activities, including payroll, billing, and accounts receivable. Assist in resolving disputes and ensuring accurate service billing.

  • RTV & RMA Processing: Maintain and follow up on RTV logs, ensuring timely vendor resolutions. Facilitate the RMA process, coordinating with both customers and vendors for effective problem resolution.

  • Account Reconciliation: Address and resolve complex accounts receivable issues. Support the monthly GL close, balance sheet reconciliations, and variance analysis.

  • Audit Support: Aid in the annual audit process, including physical inventory checks, schedule preparation, and other audit-related tasks.

  • Special Projects: Take on special accounting projects and reports as needed. Provide cross-functional support during peak periods and staff absences to ensure smooth department operations.

WAGE: $65,000 - $75,000

    Requirements

Education: Advanced business degree required; emphasis in accounting or finance preferred.

Experience: Minimum of 3 years of experience applying advanced accounting principles. Experience in manufacturing and familiarity with ERP systems is a plus.

Skills:

  • Intermediate to advanced computer proficiency.

  • Excellent communication skills, both written and oral.

  • Strong multitasking and technical skills in accounting.

  • Positive, team-oriented attitude with a proactive approach.
