Description

Position Overview: We are seeking a dynamic Planned Giving Officer to join our well-established client's team. The successful candidate will identify, cultivate, and secure planned gifts from donors and prospects while acting as the primary liaison with professional advisors and Legacy Society members.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Donor Engagement: Identify and solicit planned giving prospects and current donors.

  • Professional Liaison: Develop referrals and secure planned gifts from donors and advisors.

  • Complex Gift Management: Administer complex gifts like life insurance policies, real estate, and securities.

  • Gift Planning: Collaborate with donors and advisors to create charitable gifts aligning with financial and estate planning goals.

  • Stewardship Program: Develop and oversee a planned giving stewardship program for Legacy Society members.

  • Communication Strategy: Implement an annual communication strategy for outreach.

  • Donor Meetings: Conduct bi-annual reviews with donors to update gift agreements.

  • Advisor Engagement: Educate and cultivate relationships with professional advisors to increase referrals.

  • Diversity and Inclusion: Engage donors and volunteers of diverse backgrounds to advance Racial Equity and Inclusion.

  • Collaboration: Work with internal teams to support planned and realized gifts.

  • Educational Outreach: Deliver presentations and create marketing materials promoting charitable giving.

  • Volunteer Management: Prepare for and present at committee meetings.

  • Data Management: Track planned gifts, set goals, and document interactions.

  • Mentorship: Mentor colleagues in planned giving strategies.

SALARY RANGE: $110,000 - $130,000

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree; advanced degree or certification preferred.

  • Proven experience in planned giving or fundraising.

  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
