Ameresco's Western Region Federal Operations & Maintenance Group is seeking a skilled and experienced Regional Operations Manager to oversee the efficient functioning and maintenance of Ameresco owned and/ or operated assets, including, Photovoltaic (PV) and Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS). The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in Energy Savings Performance Contracts (ESPC) and Power Purchase Agreements (PPA), PV and energy storage technologies, operations, and maintenance management, as well as bring a proactive approach to ensuring optimal performance and safety standards. This position will report to Director - Operations & Maintenance - Federal West. Responsibilities: Manage day-to-day operations and personnel, ensuring smooth functioning, monitoring, and maintenance. Program Management for service quality metrics and key performance indicators (KPIs) and Operations & Maintenance programs. Inventory management of Ameresco and customer inventory, including fleet vehicles. Prepare cost estimates and proposals. Implement manufacturer's DAS systems (training, installation, API). Develop strategies to optimize Energy Savings Performance Contracts (ESPC), Power Purchase Agreements (PPA) for PV and energy storage performance, maximize efficiency, and minimize downtime. Coordinate and schedule regular maintenance activities, inspections, and repairs to ensure system reliability and longevity. Provide detailed generation reports to production off takers (utility) and internal personnel for billing. Ensure compliance with industry standards, safety protocols, and regulatory requirements pertaining to PV and energy storage operations. Manage a team of operations personnel, providing guidance, training, and support to ensure a high level of performance and adherence to safety protocols. Assess operational data and performance metrics to identify trends, inefficiencies, and areas for improvement. Collaborate with suppliers, vendors, and contractors to procure necessary equipment, parts, and services required for maintenance and operations. Work with Field Supervisors and Technicians to address operational issues promptly, conduct root cause analysis, and implement corrective actions to resolve problems. Maintain accurate records, documentation, and reports related to operations, maintenance, and performance metrics. Identify opportunities for process improvements, cost savings, and technological advancements to enhance overall system efficiency and effectiveness. Perform other duties as required. Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Math), Energy Management, or related/ equivalent field. Advanced degree in business, finance, data analytics is a plus. Minimum of 10 years of experience in operations management within the PV, battery energy storge or renewable energy industry. Eligible to review confidential US security information. Ability to travel up to 25%.
