Spokane Regional Health District Public Health Nurse 1 in Spokane, Washington

Purpose: The dispensing nurse will be responsible for the daily dispensing of medication as directed by the Medical Director, Clinical Manager, or Administrator. The dispensing nurse will follow the essential functions and basic duties of the clinic and will participate in the weekly staffing for the care and function of the OTP patient.Required Minimum Qualifications:AA/AAS, Diploma or B.S.N.Graduation from accredited professional school of nursingRequired Licensure/Certifications:Current Washington State Registered Nurse CredentialKnowledge, Skills and Abilities:De-escalation skillsKnowledge and skills relating to substance abusing patientsAbility and willingness to learn computerized medication dispensing specific to Methadone or Buprenorphine/Naloxone clinicBasic keyboarding skillsDesired Education, Experience and Skills:Previous experience with substance abuse patients helpful.Experience working with diverse populations.Ability to work flexible hours.Ability to communicate and interact with other medical professionals regarding patient’s involvement on Methadone or Buprenorphine/Naloxone program and interaction with other prescribed medications.To apply, and to view a complete job description, visit www.srhd.orgThis position is eligible for representation by WSNA
