Washington State Department of Transportation (WSDOT) is currently seeking a skilled Property and Acquisition Specialist 6 that specializes in Property Management. This position supervises, trains, and mentors Property Management (PM) staff for the Eastern Region Real Estate Services (RES) office in Spokane, WA. This position is highly technical, requiring knowledge of Federal and State regulation and laws. The supervisor is relied upon as the subject matter expert and is responsible for compliance to ensure federal funding for projects is not jeopardized. In addition, this position provided technical and policy recommendations to the Real Estate Manager in areas such as budgeting, personnel, project assignments, demolition of improvements and evaluation of employees. This function is a key element of the Right of Way (ROW) Certification process that is required for WSDOT projects to be advertised for construction.
