Compensation for the Planning Department Intern
- $17.50 Per Hour
- Monday -- Friday, 20 Hours per week
- Flexible Part-Time schedule between the hours of 8 am -- 5 pm
This position is an ongoing temporary position that begins in October.
Responsibilities of the Planning Department Intern
- Provide direct support to the planning and development department
- Perform tasks including research, data analysis, report generation, drafting correspondence, assisting with meetings and outreach, conducting field observations
- Other duties as assigned

Requirements of the Planning Department Intern
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in policy and planning, urban planning, marketing, public health, civil engineering, public policy, or related fields
- Qualified undergraduate students will be considered where skills, experience, and interest merit consideration
- Driver's license
- Proficient in Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
- Proficient in both oral and written communication
- Strong organizational and analytic skills
- Self-starter with ability to work independently
- Must possess the ability to handle sensitive issues with diplomacy and poise
