Job Description:

Payroll Functions:

  • Review master file updates after entered by Human Resources.

  • Review timesheets for general accuracy and post as needed.

  • Ensure semi-monthly and monthly payrolls are processed in a timely and accurate manner. This includes reviewing computed wages and deductions for accuracy.

  • Review out of state work report and follow up with payroll documentation for the withholding of any out of state taxes.

  • Responsible for registering new state payroll tax accounts.

  • Process off-cycle pay checks requested by Human Resources.

  • Reconcile and coordinate payments for 401K plan withholdings, garnishments, and HSA/FSA.

  • Review and reconcile vacation and sick accruals.

  • Maintain incentive compensation report.

  • Work closely with Human Resources on all payroll related issues.

  • Reconcile all payroll and benefits related general ledger accounts monthly.

  • Respond to employee inquiries and requests regarding payroll.

  • Other payroll related tasks as assigned.

    Accounting Functions:

    • Assist with month-end close

    • Complete various month-end journal entries

    • Share in completing general ledger reconciliations

    • Prepare various month-end reports

    • Prepare monthly financial reporting packages

    • Other month-end close tasks as assigned

    • Assist with Year-end close

    • Year-end close tasks as assigned.

    • Complete annual financial survey information

    • Perform other duties and special projects as assigned.

    Risk Management:

    • Assist in complete insurance applications.

    • Assist in responding to insurance audit requests as needed.

    • Other risk management tasks as assigned.
