Job Description Job duties may include but are not limited to the following: Read blueprints/instructions and examine surfaces to determine the kind and amount of work necessary Make on-site preparations such as building scaffolding, covering fixtures etc. Prepare walls, pipes, vessels and other surfaces for painting by scraping, using sandpaper, removing old paint etc. Fill cracks and holes with appropriate material (e.g., plaster) Mix paint and other materials to prepare the right color or texture Paint surfaces according to instructions with various tools Apply other coating finishes such as intumescent fireproofing Follow established safety rules and regulations and maintain a safe and clean environment Ability to perform all job duties and associated work functions in a constant state of alertness and in a safe manner Performs other related duties as assigned Ability to follow instructions from supervisors and foremen This position is safety-sensitive.
