ENGIE North America Inc. Operations Specialist IV in Spokane, Washington
This position is responsible for performing complex research and resolution on client accounts; including identifying, prioritizing, and mitigating risks, and communicating and escalating risks and issues. This position will be responsible for working with utility companies directly and client indirectly. PRIMARY FUNCTIONS AND ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES: Leadership/ Financial Accountability/ Client Engagement/ Decision Making/ Responsible for finding and resolving errors on utility bills being routed for payment. Collaborating with vendors and/or clients to investigate and resolve exceptions, including, but not limited to: Unknown, inactive, & summary exceptions Supplier/hauler changes Perform consolidation balancing on complex summary billing Understand and perform deconsolidation process General ledger & financial coding updates Manual GL allocations Perform critical thinking skills to investigate payment discrepancies such as: Stale checks Returned checks Understand and perform account & site merges Perform bulk FBI uploads Responsible for finding and resolving errors on Bankruptcy accounts Understand and complete Bankruptcy proration Some manual data entry for summary and international invoices Ensure that follow-up, email, and correspondence are completed in a timely manner. Follow standard operating procedures within these tasks Perform other duties as assigned. QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS: Education/ Certifications/ Experience/ Competencies/ Skills/ Abilities/ Other Education/ Certifications/ Experience High School Diploma or equivalent required Requires 2+ years of clerical and/or customer related work experience Basic understanding of general ledger coding and account set up preferred Other combinations of experience/education may be considered May consider a combination of relevant experience with educational and other skills and abilities in lieu of educational requirements Competencies/ Skills/ Abilities Must have excellent phone skills and customer service Must have solid computer skills, including familiarity with Word, Excel, Outlook and Internet and several customized ENGIE Impact systems (including but not limited to Avi, Workflow) Must be able to organize, prioritize, and use time management tools Ability to demonstrate basic mathematical aptitude Must have basic problem-solving abilities Must be a team player, dependable and have a sense of ownership Must be able to adapt to change easily Ability to be proactive in order to provide superior service to clients Basic understanding of ENGIE Impact services and offerings Basic understanding of client accrual files and reporting Strong verbal, written and interpersonal skills.
