The Wencor Group Office Manager / HR Administrator in Spokane, Washington

Absolute Aviation Services is an FAA certified repair station dedicated to the quality repair and overhaul of electrical components and instruments for commercial airline fleets. Job Summary: Absolute is looking for a dynamic Office Manager / HR Administrator for its Washington State Facilities. The selected individual will partner with local leadership to drive business growth through an engaged workforce. Success in this position will be determined by employee engagement metrics as well as business growth metrics. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: *Partner with site location leadership to provide HR direction and implementation of Corporate HR programs and services *Develop and maintain an effective level of understanding of the Company and its human resources needs *Maintain and oversee employee files and documentation *Collaborate, administrate and drive employee initiatives in culture, safety, health, and welfare *Collaborate with employees and coordinate company events including culture club, holiday parties, awards ceremonies, and other employee events *Foster a culture of teamwork and respect through effective use of the company's core values *Responsible for administrative tasks, reports and projects as required by management *Assist in the hiring process and performs new employee orientation and process new hire documents in coordination with corporate company *Follow company policies and procedures to administer benefit programs and payroll related functions for the site *Assist with drug program regulations *Works with management and corporate company regarding employee relations *Assist with accounting tasks and yearly forecasting/budgeting *Responsible company petty cash *Responsible for procurement of promotional and employee items *Responsible for company cell phone plans, office machine maintenance, and company equipment leases *Will be cross trained to support Receptionist/switchboard duties *May be cross trained in customer service, purchasing, and materials department as required *Problem solve using logic, reasoning, collaboration and solid HR skills to resolve difficult employee situations at all levels of the organization *Make administrative and procedural decisions and demonstrate judgment on sensitive, confidential matters *Ensure that all human resources practices are in compliance with regulatory and legal requirements, company standards and values *Have working knowledge of legal requirements and government reporting regulations affecting Human Resources functions (e.g. OSHA, EEO, ERIS, FLSA, etc.) in order to maintaining compliance with all state, federal and labor laws *Coordinate and deliver management training in interviewing, hiring and selection, positive team member relations, handling terminations and harassment issues *Assist with the development of policies and programs to attract, retain and promote a diverse work force for the organization *Working knowledge of AAP *Maintain and process FAA required training material *Performs other duties as assigned Qualifications: *In-depth knowledge of State and Federal Employment Law and HR Legal *Must be organized, detail oriented, and able to prioritize in a highly fast-paced environment *Experience in employee relations, organization development, performance management, talent assessment, workforce planning, leadership development and communications *Demonstrated project management skills and capability of developing effective employee relations *Highly effective verbal, written, presentation and interpersonal communication skills *Demonstrated analytical, communications and problem solving skills *Proficiency in Micros
