Inland Northwest Health Services Occupational Therapist Assistant in Spokane, Washington
St. Luke’s Rehabilitation Institute, in Spokane, WA, is seeking an Occupational Therapy Assistant to join our skilled team of clinicians to provide therapy services. Patients with a wide variety of ages and diagnoses are encountered on a daily basis allowing our OTAs to utilize a variety of skills.
In this position you will:
Implement treatment plan established by supervising therapist and communicates with therapist regarding patient response to treatment and any needed modifications to treatment plan
Meet productivity goals per department standards
Effectively interact with all staff to coordinate patient care and promote continuity of care.
In the course of providing direct patient care, be accountable for accurate and timely documentation
Perform treatments and patient care activities in a timely and safe manner, following appropriate policy and procedures.
Demonstrate clinical skills and professional judgment
Maintain patient safety and work cooperatively with support staff
Demonstrate self-direction and professionalism by participating in educational activities, utilizing department personnel resources in dealing with patients in restorative, functional and preventative therapeutic programs
Required qualifications for this position include:
Graduate of an accredited Occupational Therapy Assistant program
Current Occupational Therapy Assistant (OTA) licensure in Washington State, or eligible
Current American Heart Association Basic Life Support (AHA-BLS) for the Healthcare Provider or obtain within 30 days of employment.
