Providence St. Joseph Health Nurse Technician in Spokane, Washington
Description The Nurse Technician is a student currently enrolled in a Registered Nurse program at an accredited school and has completed at least one academic term, which included a clinical component. Functions under the direct supervision of the Registered Nurse and within the scope of practice that the supervisor has determined is appropriate based upon the education and skills of the Nurse Technician and as defined by the Washington Administrative Code (WAC)*. Required Qualifications: Coursework/Training: Completed one academic term which includes a clinical rotation. upon hire: Washington Nursing Technician Registration. within 30 days of hire: National Provider BLS - American Heart Association. One academic clinical rotation (as above). Preferred Qualifications: Bachelor's Degree Currently enrolled and in good standing in a nursing program that is: Approved by the WA State Nursing Care Quality Assurance Commission, WA State Department of Health, or other state nursing approval body for out of state residents; Accredited by the American Nurses Credentialing Center Commission on Collegiate Education, or other national nursing accrediting body. 6 months Prior employment experience in a long term care, assisted living or skilled nursing environment.
