Providence St. Joseph Health Nurse Technician - Rehab Unit in Spokane, Washington

Description The Nurse Technician is a student currently enrolled in a Nursing program at an accredited school and has completed at least one academic term, which included a clinical component. Functions under the direct supervision of the registered nurse and within the scope of practice that the supervising registered nurse has determined is appropriate based upon the education and skills of the Nurse Technician and as defined by the Washington Administrative Code (WAC). Responsible for providing direct patient care applying current health concepts and assisting with routine or general clinical responsibilities that may contribute directly and indirectly to patient care under the supervision of the charge nurse or other registered nurse. May work up to the documented level of academic competence accomplished in the individual's education program. Required Qualifications: Coursework/Training Currently enrolled and in good standing in an approved nursing program approved by the Nursing Care Quality Assurance Commission, Washington State Department of Health; or other state nursing approval body for out of state residents. Coursework/Training Completed one academic term which includes a clinical medical / surgical rotation.Coursework/Training Complete a formal generic and on-unit orientation including skills checklist and medication test.
