Description Medical Laboratory Scientist - Clinical Lab Department at Providence Holy Family Hospital in Spokane, WA To analyze biologic specimens of human origin in order to quantify or qualify clinically relevant properties. To integrate and transmit information so derived in an effort to assist in the diagnosis or monitoring of human disease. Work assignments are generally not given project-by-project; rather, a moderately wide range and variety of work activities and processes are required to bring assignments to completion. Work processes and assignments frequently require the incumbent to interpret and apply operating procedures or technical standards to problems of moderate complexity. Reports to Lab Manager. Shift Details: On Call/ Per Diem, Variable Shift Required qualifications: Bachelor's Degree Upon hire: National Medical Technologist - American Society for Clinical Pathology Or Upon hire: National Medical Technologist - American Medical Technologists Or Upon hire: National Medical Technologist - American Association of Bioanalysts Or Upon hire: National Medical Laboratory Scientist - American Society for Clinical Pathology Or Upon hire: National Clinical Laboratory Scientist - American Society for Clinical Pathology Or Upon hire: National Laboratory Tech - United States Government Sufficient experience to enable the employee to work effectively in commonplace work situations and to provide working knowledge of the principles, practices, standards, methods, and techniques of laboratory medicine. 1 year Medical technology internship.
