Maintenance Supervisor This position is responsible for leading the maintenance department to ensure an efficient, high quality, cost effective operating facility. Responsibilities include: Management of a preventative maintenance program and parts inventory, successful management of capital projects, responding to equipment failures in a timely manner, working with the management team on initiatives to reduce cost and improve quality, developing skills of assigned staff, proactively make recommendations and follow through on improving overall process systems. Compensation Range : $77,000 - $116,000 Required Experience & Education:
- Associate Degree/2 Year Technical Certificate in a directly relevant discipline
- Four years experience in a leadership role
Must have a wide technical knowledge including: Electrical, PLC, Mechanical, Machining, Boiler, Welding, and General Construction practices. We are seeking in this role good written and oral listening/communication skills. Strong leadership, coaching and training skills are highly needed for this role. While this position is primarily a day shift position, the successful candidate must be available to work all shifts as business needs dictate. Required Competencies & Other Skills: We are seeking this candidate to have proven leadership and supervisory skills, strong communication/interpersonal skills, employee development skills, problem solving skills, and the ability to plan and organize. In addition, the candidate must possess the ability to manage conflict, align performance for success and initiate action. Preferred Experience & Education:
- 4 year degree preferred or other additional related technical education/degree/certifications highly desired.
- Experience working in a union facility highly desired.
Percentage of Travel: 5% Physical Requirements:
- Ability to stand, walk, and lift up to 50 pounds
- Comfortable working in a manufacturing environment, including exposure to noise and machinery
