Northwest Farm Credit Services Loan Accountant in Spokane, Washington

We serve customers in 59 locations throughout the West. We are in search of a Loan Accountant II to join our Loan Accounting department in Spokane, Washington (Headquarters). This full-time position reports to the Director, Loan and Tax Accounting and is accountable for providing centralized support for all functions relating to the analysis, monitoring and loan accounting of the organization's portfolios. This position is eligible for a coordinated hybrid work schedule and one-time home office stipend after initial training period. Compensation Information The base salary range for this position in Spokane, Washington is: Level II: $57,000 - $86,000; bonus at target is 8% of salary. Job Requirements Perform complex analysis of loan activity and accounting for exceptions, reversals, corrections, tax corrections, and other maintenance as required. Review daily reports and make independent decisions to ensure all loan accounting transactions and daily operations activities are in compliance and control with loan terms, regulations, policies and procedures. Work on monthly rate changes and ARM notices; research and recalculate payment schedules as needed. Assist with our recurring 1098/1099 tax reporting project for the organization; key tax corrections and update tax forms as needed. Reconcile daily loan to general ledger outages and clearing accounts; conduct full spectrum reconciliation including reviewing, researching, analyzing accounts, documenting findings and processing the appropriate accounting entries. Provide technical advice and diversified assistance to other departments and branch offices; serve as a subject matter expert within the tam to leverage experience and provide backup to various team functions. Assist in development and implementation of ongoing monitoring reports for efficiencies and improved operational practices. Work on various projects as assigned, both within the department and in collaboration with other functional areas. Prepare detailed and organized work papers to support daily work and reconcilements. Assist in the training of new staff and ensure teammates are aware of and performing updated processes and procedures; effectively update procedures, policies, and internal control documentation, within the scope of the role. Perform all duties and maintain all standards in accordance with company policies, procedures, and internal controls. Other duties as assigned.
