Garco Construction, Inc. Human Resources Coordinator in Spokane, Washington

A key member of the human resources team, the Human Resources Coordinator supports and administers all HR-related programs and policies and ensures compliance with federal and state regulations. In this role you will work closely with management and executive team members to address operational, employee, and employee life cycle–related issues. Apply your knowledge of the operational side of the business to offer strategic solutions to align talent with the organization's needs and goals. With a finger on the pulse of the organization, you will develop a comprehensive training program to further employee professional development and advancement. Responsibilities• Full cycle recruitment and selection of various positions to support office and jobsite operations • Lead efforts to enhance employee engagement and organizational development including sourcing and procuring training options (i.e., professional development, construction management, safety) and coordinating and facilitating training for employees at all levels of the organization • Develop performance management tools to assist in organizational efforts to proactively manage staff and facilitate discussion and efforts regarding career progression and succession planning • Manage employee benefit enrollments and changes and ensure plans are administered in accordance with federal and state regulations• Responsible for staying apprised of relevant federal, state, and local laws and ensuring organizational compliance with external requirements including but not limited to: Affirmative Action Plan, Equal Employment Opportunity, VETS, EEO, FLSA • Assist in development of and revision to company HR policies and procedures and related documents Required Qualifications • Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Human Resources or related field required or Associates Degree with minimum of two (2) years’ experience in an HR role• Minimum two (2) years’ experience in an organizational development and or employee engagement related position• Ability to form relationships at all levels of the organization Preferred Qualifications • Organizational Development Degree • Experience with union personnel • Previous experience in the construction industry Physical Demands: The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
