Job id :COM00001213 Position Summary This mid-level Graphic and Web Designer supports and assists in leading corporate creative design projects through the entire creative life-cycle. Role Description • Digital design including but not limited to responsive web, landing pages, ads, animations, presentations, vector illustrations, and inbound marketing: social media and email campaign elements. • Print design including but not limited to traditional print, creating print-ready files and vendor relations. • Day-to-day work includes: research and concept, designing, facilitating the approval process, and team collaboration. • Maintain brand guidelines and apply to all work conducted. • Actively participate in creative kickoffs and brainstorming sessions, asking questions and driving to clarify information needed to complete projects. • Work independently but also collaborate with team and take direction from Sr. Manager, Creative Services, account managers and copywriters. • Manage own time and workload and be able to forsee and communicate road blocks proactively. Ability to juggle multiple projects simultaneously, is essential. • May assume a lead role in creating the visual and conceptual direction on projects and should also be able to act in a support role for another designer on projects. • Manage creative projects or department initiatives as needed. • Conduct photo and design research for creation of mood/concept boards and to build on existing image libraries. • Present ideas and concepts in person or via video meeting. • Mentor other designers/freelancers when necessary. Qualifications Role Competencies Associate or Bachelor’s degree in Web and/or Graphic Design or a related field preferred. 3-5 years professional experience with an Associate or Bachelor’s degree strongly preferred, or 6+ years of professional experience without an Associate or Bachelor’s degree. REQUIRED SKILLS: • Thorough understanding of design both in theory and in practice • Creative problem solving • Well organized and detail-oriented • Self-motivated team player and strong communicator • Ability to manage a heavy project load under tight deadlines • Execute creative concept and designs by analog and digital means • Have understanding of buying/pricing of creative Intermediate to expert proficiencies in: • Adobe CC: Illustrator, InDesign, Photoshop, Premiere Pro, Dreamweaver and Acrobat • Animations/interactive in Ceros, Motion, Adobe After Effects, or similar • Microsoft Office Strongly recommended: • Knowledge in strategic inbound marketing and lead generation via social media, email campaigns, whitepages, etc. • Basic use of a DSLR camera and lighting kit for photo and video content creation, event photography, and other corporate needs. • Basic photo and video editing. • HTML5, CSS3 and CMS Knowledge or skills in Ceros, custom illustration, SEO, Basecamp, Asana or other project management tools, audio/video development, and sustainable marketing practices are a plus.
