Job Title: General Production Worker

Job Description

Assisting machine operators (press, shear, roll forming) to manufacture and package metal roofing and siding. Cross trained in different areas, primarily working on a production line - inspecting product, using a tape measure to verify quality, and packaging finished goods. Packaging, putting product on a skid/pallet, wrapping and banding it, labeling, and then sending it out to the yard to be staged or loaded onto trucks. May use hand tools, skill saws, and staple guns to build custom length wood skids (pallets) to hold the product after it has been run through the machines. Will also pick orders from a PO sheet and load them into a tub along with boxing, packaging, and labeling various screws and bolts that go with the order. May also get trained on the forklift or help with press brake or shearing machines; past operating experience is helpful.

  • Construction experience or background using power tools

  • Experience with production/manufacturing deadlines

  • Meeting quotas

  • Working at a fast pace

  • Prior hands-on physical labor experience

  • Willingness to work wherever needed within the shop

Job Type

This is a Contract-to-Hire position with a duration of 4 Month(s).

Work Site

This is a fully on-site position in SPOKANE, Washington.

Work Environment

Metal roofing machine shop with roughly 15-20 employees. Very clean shop, but will be working outside in the yard from time to time. Shop gets loud and ear plugs are required; people will yell often to communicate. The shop will be hot in the summer and cold in the winter due to an always-open door.
