Job Purpose: The Center for Climate, Society, and the Environment Climate Resilience Program Coordinator assists the Climate Center's Director in organizing and running Center programs, particularly those related to climate planning and resilience. Gonzaga's Climate Center serves Gonzaga University and the broader regional communities by promoting innovative, interdisciplinary scholarship, teaching, consulting and capacity building on the climate, society, and the environment. www.gonzaga.edu/ClimateCenter{rel="nofollow"}. Minimum Qualifications:
- Three years of applicable experience
- Demonstrated understanding of climate change.
- Strong speaking/presentation skills and experience.
- Excellent organizational skills.
- Facility an ease with information technology.
- Ability to work effectively in multi-cultural and multi-disciplinary settings.
Desired Qualifications:
- MA or MS in related field
- GIS experience
- Climate action planning experience
- Community organizing experience
- Understanding of basic climate policy, economics, and science.
- Grant writing experience
- Supervising experience
