Providence is calling a Food Service Worker (Dietary, Day Shift, 1 FTE) to Providence St Luke's Rehabilitation Institute in Spokane, Washington. In this position you will:
Train to work in a variety of food service positions as needed by the department.
Show competence and follow established policies in ware washing techniques, sanitation, machine use and maintenance.
Demonstrate competence using the following equipment: toaster-trayline, blender, microwave, coffee urns (trayline/catering/café), dish machine, garbage disposal, pot and pan sink, meat slicer, small food processor, milkshake maker, food processor, and safe knife handling skills.
Properly cleans the kitchen equipment.
Always adhere to safe food handling procedures.
Perform tasks accurately and appropriately on tray line.
Demonstrate knowledge of Food and Nutrition Services procedure for covering, dating and labeling all food items.
Stock and gather ingredients or supplies appropriately.
Perform as cashier in cafeteria, using cash register, counting change, and greeting customers.
Promote excellent customer satisfaction by using key words consistently and maintaining a pleasant atmosphere in cafeteria as well as other work areas.
Perform basic food preparation duties as assigned; all foods served must look appealing and be of high quality.
Support and implement the corporate philosophy of Service Excellence.
Remain flexible in adapting to scheduling patterns and resolving scheduling conflicts.
Report complaints, grievances and potential hazards or incidents to the Food Service Lead.
Required qualifications for this position include:
Education to meet certification, license or registration requirement.
Obtain a Spokane County Health Dept. Food Handler's permit within 14 days of employment.
Preferred qualifications for this position include:
Completion of ServSafe certification.
Food service experience.
