Summary The Flight Operations Logistics Coordinator position is responsible for assisting with full-spectrum flight operations logistics support to all pilots and deployed field personnel. This person provides professional knowledge and expertise in the execution and support of all aspects of Aero-Flite's flight operation team's logistical requirements.   • Responsible for adhering to all applicable laws, regulations and company policies and procedures;
  • Ability to assess situations, grasp issues, solve problems and make clear concise recommendations on key operational decisions;
  • Assists with coordinating aircraft movements and associated documentation between the company and customer. Assists with flight following and tracking of all company aviation assets;
  • Assists with developing, maintaining and distributing time-sensitive daily status report that includes staffing, contract data, and aircraft status to company and agency key stakeholders;
  • Facilitates coordination with maintenance/stores personnel to provide time-sensitive flight operations logistics support to the field to maintain continuity of field operations;
  • Assists with procuring, organizing, storing and distributing flight operations support equipment;
  • Facilitates coordination with maintenance team and pilot group to provide comprehensive flight ops logistics travel support, as mission dictates;
  • Assists with reconciling aircraft fuel/landing fee charges from field/contract operations;
  • Other tasks assigned by the Aero-Flite Director of Flight Operations

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities and Other Characteristics

  • Thorough knowledge of FAA regulations as they pertain to company operations.
  • Thorough knowledge of hazardous materials transport requirements and limitations
  • Thorough knowledge of assigned company aircraft.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills. Ability to communicate and liaise with staff and external customers.

Preferred Education and Experience

  • Familiarity with working in dynamic aviation environment
  • Aviation inter-agency coordination experience is highly desired;
  • Aerial fire-fighting industry experience is desired
  • High School Diploma required; Associates degree or higher in a related field is desired

Travel

Rotational schedule with company duty-time limitations.

Due to industry logistics, and to meet required duty and rest time requirements, on-call status may be required from time to time.
