WASHINGTON TRUST BANK Escrow Specialist in Spokane, Washington

Description As an Escrow Specialist, you will be responsible for all processing activities related to escrow account management, including tax, insurance, vendor oversight, escrow analysis and ongoing escrow account maintenance. We're looking for someone who has strong experience with escrow analysis, escrow tracking and is able to administer all aspects of the escrow account. Location: Tower East - 5th Fl, 601 W 1st Ave, Spokane, WA, 99201. Schedule: Monday thru Friday, 8:00am -5:00pm. This role is open to a hybrid work schedule that includes both remote and onsite work upon completion of training. Essential Functions: Ensures real estate tax, insurance, and PMI/MIP payments are paid on a timely basis and premium updates are accurately inputted into the servicing system. Researches and pays delinquent taxes. Contacts agencies, vendors, and borrowers when needed. Ensures the timely completion of all escrow related notifications to customers as required by state and federal law including annual escrow analysis, short year statements and PMI termination letters. Researches escrow disputes from borrowers. Manages all account maintenance in the servicing system for escrow accounts including new account set up, deletion, and account changes. Review hazard and flood polices to determine if adequate coverage is in place. Monitors the vendor relationships. Ensures they are following their policies and procedures for the timely and accurate processing of real estate property taxes, hazard insurance, flood insurance, PMI, and escrow analysis processes. Monitors the placement of lender-placed homeowners and flood insurance ensuring timely premium payments. Files claims with the vendor as appropriate. Completes the imaging of loan documents and other trailing documents for record retention. Maintains internal tracking system for the receipt of insurance policies for Bank's loan portfolio. Review and analyze loans upon request on the Jack Henry Silverlake system. This will entail setting up tax and insurance payees on the system to provide an accurate Escrow Analysis. Review and reply to customer service and research inquiries which may require interaction with the borrower or a third party such as an insurance agent, tax office, or loan officer. Generate written responses to various escrow inquiries regarding insurance, tax, or escrow deletion requests. Completes reports accurately and in a timely manner. Designs and implements guidelines known as "Best Practices" Qualifications: Demonstrated accuracy in working with detailed data in a deadline-oriented environment. Minimum 2 to 4 years of experience with servicing mortgage escrow accounts, taxes, insurances, or mortgage insurance. Knowledge of Consumer Real Estate loan documentation and Bank, federal, and state policies and requirements. Knowledge of insurance policies, binders, certificates, and lending industry policies and procedures. Demonstrated ability to quickly adapt to and utilize computer systems and applications. Strong telephone and interpersonal communication skills. Ability to effectively prioritize work projects to meet deadlines. Perform compliance and risk management duties as required or assigned. Pay Range: $23.51 to $35.30 The compensation range represents the low and high end of the base compensation range for this position located in Spokane, Washington. Actual compensation will vary and may be above or below the range based on various factors including but not limited to location, experience, and performance.
