Description THE ROLE The INWA Service Line Director of Digestive Heath & Orthopedics in conjunction with the Executive Director of Services Lines is accountable for the leadership, direction, and strategic implementation of digestive health and orthopedic & sports medicine services within the service area. This position is accountable for the outcomes of the programs to ensure efficient, high quality, coordinated, patient focused care across all settings. The position builds relationships resulting in compassionate care and committed teams across the delivery system and with all stakeholders. Work is completed with a thorough understanding of and commitment to the Providence Core Values and Leadership Model. This position will be an integral part of the Health Care Delivery Network team, and will actively collaborate with other PHC Divisions/Teams to achieve desired outcomes for the whole organization. In collaboration with the Exec Director of Services Lines, this position will make decisions affecting strategy, implementation and management of resources. In partnership with physician leaders, this position will be accountable for development and execution of the strategy and oversight of performance. In this role, the Service Line Director of Digestive Heath & Orthopedics will: Provide leadership for strategic planning, clinical excellence, fiscal accountability, patient satisfaction, operational effectiveness and positive relationships with other departments, members of the medical staff, physician practices and all stakeholders within the scope and span of control. Develop overall budget and targets to ensure financial performance measures are met for the programs across the delivery system. Partner with employed and independent medical staff to ensure the presence of an on-going quality improvement program by providing leadership for patient safety, quality improvement, service excellence, physician satisfaction and program growth and development. Be accountable for creating a delivery system that meets the digestive health and orthopedic & sports medicine needs of the Inland Northwest and beyond through partnership with other providers across the region. Develop and maintain productive working relationships with all key constituents inside and outside of the organization. Serve as PHC administrative lead for partnering with system digestive health (Institute) and orthopedics & Sports Medicine (Clinical Decision Team) leadership. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS Actively supports and incorporates the mission and core values into daily activities. Manage the overall budget and performance for PSHI across the delivery system. Collaborate with finance to develop pricing strategies in each market. Define expectations for price point determination of appropriate costs of services through analysis of input costs, standardization, evidence based protocols, delivery in lower cost settings, etc. Collaborate with Providence physicians and other aligned physicians to develop systems of care to meet the digestive health and orthopedic & sports medicine needs of the region.
